About the Store

Macro Pathways is a movement-first organization challenging the Micro Pipeline in Social Work (MPISW™), the systemic funneling of social workers into client-centered and interpersonal roles, often at the expense of macro practice exposure and preparation.

This store takes our work out of institutional spaces and carries it directly into everyday life. Some of our designs honor the foundational figures whose words still move our work forward. Others put macro social work into plain view, openly questioning how our profession is defined, trained, and compensated, from what an advanced degree should actually be worth to what truly counts as social work.

Every piece is a conversation the field urgently needs to have.

Where the Money Goes

We believe you should know where your money goes. Store revenue first covers the baseline operational costs of running Macro Pathways. Our next priority is funding paid internships. As we grow, our goal is to employ social workers at true living wages, including MSW graduates without a license and remote, part-time roles for those unable to sustain a traditional 40-hour work week.

True to our mission, leadership is paid last.

Conscious Production

Every item we offer is printed only after it is ordered, through our fulfillment partner, Printful. Producing on demand means nothing sits in a warehouse and nothing is overproduced.

Sourcing & Ethics

You deserve to know where your purchases come from. Our blank apparel, mugs, and notebooks are sourced from global manufacturers with materials originating in countries including Bangladesh, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, and China. Print-on-demand helps us reduce waste today, and we are actively exploring union-made and worker-owned supply chains as we grow. This page will be updated to reflect our progress.
